What are Lab grown Diamonds?
Laboratory-grown diamonds are made of the same chemical, optical and physical properties and crystal structure as natural diamonds. Natural diamonds and laboratory-grown diamonds are both made of tightly-bonded carbon atoms, share the same response to light and hardness. Both natural and lab-grown diamonds are forever.
Lab-grown diamonds are an ethical and sustainable alternative to mined diamonds, and it’s impossible to tell the two apart. They are cut and polished just like mined diamonds, and each one has unique characteristics. Like all diamonds, their quality can be measured by the 4Cs — Cut, Color, Clarity and arat.
Why choose Lab grown Diamonds?
How are Lab Grown Diamonds made?
Lab-grown diamonds are made using cutting-edge technology that recreates the conditions that form diamonds in nature.
Mined diamonds are created deep under the Earth’s surface, where the high pressure and temperature conditions crystalize carbon to create a diamond. Lab-grown diamonds can be made using the HPHT or CVD methods, which use different processes to subject a diamond seed to intense pressure, extreme heat and carbon over a period of several weeks. The result is a genuine diamond with chemical, physical and optical characteristics identical to a mined diamond.
